Lewis Merwin

Lewis Merwin, formerly of Jefferson and Stamford, passed away on January 25, 2024 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born on June 18, 1951in Schenectady, Lewis was the son of the late Claude and Shirley Merwin.

He spent many years living on his uncle Irving Merwin’s farm in Jefferson. Lewis could often be found traveling around town or doing crafts, he would often be selling pot holders. Lewis really enjoyed going to the County Fair.

Lewis is survived by his sisters: Sarah and Liza; brothers: William and Sonny; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
