Linda Marsala

Linda Lee Marsala, 73, of Stamford, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. Born on February 26, 1946 in Stamford, the daughter of the late Sam and Rita (Bloodgood) Marsala. Linda retired from Mallinckrodt in Hobart, where she worked for several years in the housekeeping department. Linda enjoyed word searches and a good game of rummy. Her greatest joy was her family, Linda’s son, Will was the light of her life. Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother: Eddie Proper. She is survived by her beloved son: Will Marsala of Stamford; sisters: Nancy Marsala Bucci of Terrytown, Donna (Gerd) Marsala Prehna of Stamford and Mary Ann Proper of Stamford; nieces and nephews: Maria (Louis) Valenta, Brenda (Joseph) Garzi, Raymond Gori, Dr. Gerd Prehna, Brian Prehna, Rachael (Rod) Rodriguez, Shawna (Stephen) Proper and Renee (Patrick) Forhan; and several cousins. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church, Harper Street, Stamford. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford.
