Marie Fagan

~~Marie C. Fagan, 90, of Delhi, passed away at her home early Friday morning, August 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 14, 1927 in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Pauline Charpentier. Marie was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Syracuse, NY, before moving to Delhi. She enjoyed cooking for the family and large family gatherings. Marie was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delhi, where she served as Adoration Coordinator and Eucharistic Minister. She was an avid reader of spiritual books. Marie’s greatest passion was her family, she was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and proud great-grandmother. She loved to travel with family and also traveled abroad to Holy Pilgrimage sites. She is survived by her children: Sherry Coberly of Delhi, Bonnie Fagan of Niskayuna, Linda Gilberg of Monticello, Robin Vohs of Delhi, Paula (Dave) Bartlett of South Carolina, William Fagan of Syracuse, Darlene (Harold) Smith of Bloomville, Jay (Sandra) Fagan of Staten Island and Michael (Cathy) Fagan of South Carolina; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her beloved dog and companion, Ana. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her son: Dennis W. Fagan in 2015. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-7PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Wednesday, August 23 at St. Peter’s Church, Franklin St., Delhi with Rev. Edward Golding, Celebrant.
