Mary E. Spatafora

Mary E. Spatafora, 90, of Jefferson, passed away at her home on Saturday morning, November 14, 2020. Born on February 25, 1930 in Manhattan, Mary was the daughter of the late James and Carmela (Armando) Mileto. She was married to Emilio J. Spatafora on September 24, 1950. The couple enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until Emilio passed on January 18, 2001. She and Emilio lived and raised their family in the Bronx, and for years their family enjoyed a summer home in Jefferson. When Emilio retired in 1980, they made Jefferson their permanent home. Mary enjoyed baking and had a passion for reading. Her greatest joy was her family, she was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother. She is survived by her children: Joseph Spatafora of Cobleskill, NY and Camille (Robert) Scelzo of Wappingers Falls, NY; and two grandchildren: Emily Scelzo of Texas and John Scelzo of Beacon, NY. Calling hours will be held from noon-4:00PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, NY. A prayer service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, November 19 at the funeral home.
