Mathilde Rabeler

Mathilde Rabeler, 96, formerly of Bovina, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at Schuyler Ridge Residential Healthcare in Clifton Park. Born on February 4, 1920 in Horpel, Germany, Mathilde (Tillie) was the daughter of the late Peter Heinrich and Marie Dorothee Karoline (Jobmann) Menke. In 1924, Tillie and her family immigrated to Brazil, and in 1930, they immigrated to the United States. The family settled in Bovina in 1931. Tillie was married to Paul W. Rabeler, who passed away on February 2, 2000. She was a homemaker and assisted Paul with the operation of the family dairy farm in Bovina. She is survived by two sons: Paul H. (Linda) Rabeler of Clifton Park; Steven W. (April) Rabeler of Cinnaminson, NJ and two grandchildren: Christina Rabeler and Lauren Rabeler ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, Mrs. Rabeler was predeceased by two brothers: Herman and Henry Menke; and a sister: Mary Priscott. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 565 Andes Rd., Delhi, with the Rev. John Priest officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi. Donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi.
