Matthew John Fisher

Matthew John Fisher, 27, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, July 29, 2022 at his Springbrook home in Milford, NY.

He was born February 15, 1995 in Cooperstown, NY, the son of Timothy J. Fisher and Lori A. (Cole) Fisher.

Matthew brought much love and laughter to our lives. He expressed his love with his infectious smile and hugs. He endured many challenges in his short life, however, his strength was very inspiring to everyone who knew him.

Beside his parents, Matthew is survived by his twin brother: Mitchell Fisher; his sister: Jordyn Fisher; grandparents: Russell and Laurane (Wunsch) Cole; aunts: Tammy Gardepe, Brenda MacDonald, Linda Fisher, Lisa Fisher, Laura McAteer and Margaret Ortega; uncles: Ronald Cole, Charles Gardepe and Thomas MacDonald; nephews: Ryder Montgomery and Camdyn Fisher; along with several cousins.

Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents: Thomas and Eleanor (Sines) Fisher; uncles: Russell "Buddy" Cole III, Gary Fisher, Brian Fisher, Joseph Fisher, Larry McAteer, Jorge Ortega, and Paul Wunsch,

The family wishes to express their heart-felt thanks to the staff at Stone Quarry home in Milford for all their care of Matthew.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Dr., Stamford, NY. A calling hour will held one hour prior to the funeral, burial will follow at Davenport Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at the Davenport Fire House after the burial for both Matthew and his Uncle Buddy who also recently passed.
