Michael Ackerman

BLOOMVILLE Michael "Mikey" J. Ackerman, 18, of Bloomville was called home to be with our other Angels on Sunday, September 22, 2013. He was born on July 22, 1995 in Warwick, the son of Michael M. and Myrna (Farkas) Ackerman. A 2013 graduate of South Kortright Central School, he was currently attending SUNY Delhi. Michael touched many hearts and lived life to the fullest. He was dedicated to his family and friends. He enjoyed playing soccer and basketball for South Kortright School. His greatest love was fishing and he earned many bragging rights with his hobby. Anyone you speak to will confirm that he taught many friends and family to also enjoy it as much as he did. He is survived by his mother and father, Michael & Myrna Ackerman of Bloomville; a brother, William J. & Brianne Kelly of Staten Island; a brother, Daniel Kelly of Warwick; a sister, Lauren Kelly of Warwick; paternal grandfather, Melvin Ackerman of South Kortright; aunts & uncles, Stephen & Karen Ackerman of Bloomville, Charles & Patricia Bossolina of Warwick; a nephew, Liam Tyler Kelly of Staten Island; a niece, Danielle Bossolina of Warwick; and many friends, classmates & extended family within the community. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Josephine & Joseph Farkas; paternal grandmother, Juliet "Bendown" Ackerman; and an uncle, Joseph S. Farkas. Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, September, 26, 2013 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Delhi, NY 13753. A memorial service will take place on Friday, September 27 at 7 p.m. at the South Kortright Central School, 58200 State Highway 10, South Kortright, NY 13842.
