Michael F. Carroll

Michael F. Carroll, 84, of Bloomville, NY, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY

Born on July 20, 1942 in Jamaica, Queens, NY, Michael was the son of the late Francis and Alexandria Carroll.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 until his honorable discharge as a Staff Seargent in 1970, SSGT Carroll was awarded The Purple Heart Medal during his service in the Airborne Division.

Michael was married to Dorothy Wright Carroll on May 16, 1963.

He was a contractor, working for various construction companies over the years and also operating his own contracting company until his retirement. Following his retirement, Dorothy and Michael moved to Bloomville, NY in 2002.

Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles and often could be found riding with his brothers and sisters in the Worn and Weathered Inc. Motorcycle Club.

Besides his parents, He was predeceased by his brothers: Francis and Gerard Carroll.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Dorothy Carroll; a son: Francis Michael (Ciretta) Carroll of Brentwood, NY; granddaughter: Anni Carroll of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings: Nancy Leonard, Theresa (Joseph) D’Arcangelo, Carolann (Ronnie) Varricchio, Lucy (Carmine) Ceccio and Patick Carol; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced soon.
