Miss Gula

Lilly Gula, 58, of North Syracuse, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Syracuse. Born on September 9, 1958 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Frustieri) Gula, Jr. Lilly was a 1980 graduate of South Kortright Central School. She enjoyed puzzles, watching TV, cheering on the NY Yankee's and she also enjoyed traveling around the area going to garage sales and going out to Oneonta Senior meals with her late step mother, Doris Gula. Lilly will also be known as having a bit of a sweet tooth. Miss Gula is survived by her sisters: Silvia Gula of North Syracuse and Marsha Ann Gula (Stephen) Hayward of London, United Kingdom; Brothers: John (Roxanne Craft) Gula III of Bloomville, Jody (Elizabeth) Gula of Fulton and Jay (Deb) Gula of Grand Gorge; step sisters: Sheila Frisbee Taylor of Livonia and Lila Shaw of Cookville, TN; five nephews, two nieces, and five grandnieces and three grandnephews. Friends and relatives may call on the family from 6-8 PM on Monday, December 5, and from 10-11AM on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave. Hobart, where a funeral service will follow at 11AM. Burial will take place in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Bloomville. Lilly's family would like to send their deep appreciation to the Staff, Nurses and Doctors at VanDuyn Center for their loving care and compassion for Lilly over of the past 4 years.
