Nancy Eighmie, 54, of Stamford, passed away on Sunday evening, October 22, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.


Born on July 16, 1969 in Pompton Plains, NJ, Nancy was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia (Teunisen) Wyble.


Nancy was married in 1996 to Scott W. Eighmie, a union that lasted 26 years until Scott’s untimely passing in December of 2022.


She worked for nearly 20 years as a cook in the cafeteria at Stamford Central School, where she enjoyed bringing many smiles to student’s faces. Nancy also worked for Mac-A-Doodles in Stamford, a second job she enjoyed to keep herself busy that fulfilled her love for cooking.


Nancy was an exceptional homemaker and super-mom, she loved cooking, baking, and was proud of her twin daughters and was especially proud of her granddaughter. Nancy was also a member of the Stamford Fire Department and the Red Knights Motorcycle Club.


Besides her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by her brother Charles (Sonny) Wyble and nephew Jeffrey Jones.


She is survived by her twin daughters: Brittany (Jeremy) Pickett of Worcester and Kaitlyn (Cody Schaefer) Eighmie of Liverpool; granddaughter: Josephine Pickett of Worcester; siblings: Laurie, Gary, Brian and Patricia; four furry K-9 grandkids; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.


Graveside services will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Stamford Cemetery, followed by a celebration of Nancy’s life at the Stamford Fire Department.
