Nancy Mattice

Nancy Mattice, 81, of Stamford, NY, passed away suddenly on December 18, 2024, at her home from complications of congestive heart failure.


Born on February 2, 1943, in Harpersfield, NY, Nancy was the daughter of the late Douglas and Caroline (Klinge) Mattice.


She grew up in the Stamford area and left in 1961 to pursue a career as a radiology technician and served her entire career at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. Following her retirement Nancy returned to Stamford.


She was a devoted communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. Nancy had a very kind heart and showed it by always trying to help people, especially children.


Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Roberta Champlin and Noreen North.


Nancy is survived by her brothers-in-law: Wallace Champlin of Utah and Carl North of Florida; nieces and nephews: Deb Champlin and Cathy Champlin both of Utah, Chris (Kelly) North of Maryland and Heather (Greg) Cadwallader of Florida; great-nephew and great-niece: Harrison and Grace North both of Maryland; along with her found family: Monica, FranKelly, Michael, Steven and Stephanie Santiago and their family.


A memorial mass will be celebrated at 1PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, 27 Harper Street, Stamford, NY, Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford.


In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Nancy can be made to the American Heart Association ( www.heart.org )
