Nellie A. Nault

Nellie Alice Nault passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.


Born on December 23, 1926 in the Town of Kortright, Nellie was the daughter of the late Peter and Myrtle (Woodruff) Stoutenburg. She was raised by Anna (Sheldon) and Dwight Harder.


She married John P. Nault on April 5, 1942.


Nellie worked in the Dietary Department at Delaware Academy and Central School and at O’Connor Hospital in Delhi. She retired from O’Connor Hospital after more than fifty years.


She enjoyed reading, embroidery and doing word puzzles. Nellie enjoyed the outdoors, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and feeding the birds.


Her greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.


Besides her husband, she was predeceased by their son, Robert Nault, son-in-law: Clyde Harder and grandson: Erik Coe.


She is survived by her four daughters: Barbara (Norman) Coe, Jeanne (Joseph) Ciarciaglino, Dianne (Randy) Wicks, Joanne (companion Edward Hotaling) Harder; grandchildren: Dean Coe, John Coe, Norma (Rick Mueller) Coe, Ann-Marie (Christopher) White, Robert Nault, Jr., Christopher (Michelle) Nault, Jennifer (Mark) Timmerman, Randy (Rebecca Moore) Wicks, Jr. and Jeff (Laura) Quinlan, along with several great-grandchildren.


At Nellie’s request, services and burial will be private in the spring at Woodland Cemetery Delhi.
