Orson G. Mattice, Jr.

Orson G. Mattice, Jr., 67, of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at AO Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta. Born on May 19, 1953 in Stamford, Orson was the son of the late Orson G. and Caroline Mattice, Sr. Mr. Mattice proudly served in the US Army from 1972 until his honorable discharge in 1981 at the rank of Sergeant, he was stationed in both Germany and Korea during his military career. Orson worked on farms most of his life and he worked several years for Eklund Farm in Stamford. He is survived by his wife: Barbara; children: Sabrina Mattice of Chambersburg, PA, Melissa (Jason) Keator of Schenevus, Christina (Luke) Ferguson of East Meredith and Jennifer Mattice of Maryland, NY; five grandchildren: Dustin, Dylan, Brandon, Cody and Lexi; siblings: Tom, Scott, John and Celest; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life and memorial will be held from 2-5PM on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Davenport Fire Dept. Military honors and a time of sharing will be held at 3PM.
