Patricia Barton

STAMFORD _ Patricia C. Barton, 65, of Stamford, passed away at home Monday, Oct. 31, 2011. She was born Nov. 17, 1945, in Greenport, the daughter of John E. and Mary Carman. Married for 49 years, she married William W. Barton on March 9, 1962. Mrs. Barton was a 20-year resident of the Stamford area where she was a local business owner. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A gardener extraordinaire, pet lover, shopaholic and great baker. Her husband, Bill; children, William, Michael, Mary and Lisa; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Sydney, Taylor, Patrick, Timothy, Elizabeth and Thomas; and one great-grandchild, Flynn, survive her. "We love you." Memorial services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made to your local animal shelter or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
