Patricia Townsend

Patricia A. Hobbie Townsend, 71, of Jefferson, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. Born on February 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Gerardo and Juanita (Warner) Dunham. Patricia worked as a dietary aide at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford for several years. Family was the most important thing in Patricia’s life, she was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother. Her grandchildren were very special to her. Patricia also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her siblings, children and grandchildren Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Donald Townsend in 2006. She is survived by her children: Glenn (Rina Murphy) Hobbie of East Meredith, Holly (Dusty VanBuren) Northrop of Virginia and Scott (Christine) Hobbie of Delhi; grandchildren: Savannah, Jacob, Riley, Britney, Matthew, Ryan and Kiersten; siblings: Gerardo (Valerie) Dunham of Middleburgh, Carmelita (Jack) Flanery of S. Kortright and Susan Dunham of Middleburgh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 5-7PM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford.
