Pauline Porter

Pauline Porter, 85 of Jefferson, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, January 5, 2020 at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville. Born on December 8, 1934 in New York City, She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ivy (Taylor) Gammon. Mrs. Porter was married to her beloved husband of 62 years, Norman E. Porter on October 12, 1957. Pauline was a Registered Nurse working at Mt. Vernon Hospital in Westchester. She was an avid reader and enjoyed mysteries. Pauline also enjoyed crafting, sewing and needlework. Pauline was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford. Besides her husband, Pauline is survived by her children: Norman (Donna) Porter, Jr of Rocky Point, Sharon (Jeff Heller) Barrett of Jefferson and Mark Porter of Highland Mills; grandchildren: Kyra, Cole, Amber, Chyna and Justin; three great-grandchildren: Damian, Lyric and Chelsea; one brother: Franklin (Gail) Gammon of NC; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
