Pauline Smith Tompkins, 84, passed away March 23, 2015. She was born April 20, 1930, in Oneonta, NY, the daughter of Henry and Blanche (Gregory) Smith Goodrich. She was a graduate of Stamford Central School, Class of 1947, and Mildred Elley Business School of Albany. During her career, she was employed with Homer Folks Tuberculosis Hospital, Oneonta; Stamford Mirror Recorder; Catskill Craftsmen; Bathgate Hospital; and 25 years at the New York Power Authority, Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Margaret Smith, and a son, Michael (1951) and stepfather, Lynn Goodrich. Survivors include two daughters, Christine and Wayne Pickett, Stamford, Dawn Tompkins and Steve Gardepe, Oneonta, son Wayne and Kathy Tompkins, Jackson, WY. Four grandchildren, Michael Pickett, Kingston, Jill (Pickett) and Kevin Fluet, Newmarket, NH, Ian Tompkins, Jackson, WY, and Dwayne Pickett, Stamford. Three great-grandsons, Kyle Pickett, Nathan Fluet and Cameron Fluet. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, PO Box 88, Delhi, NY 13753 or to a charity of your choice. Friends may call on Saturday, March 28,2015, starting at 1:00 PM with services at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dottie Morris at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, NY Those who wish to share condolences or a special memory may do so online at www.macarthurfh.com.
