Peter Kaiser

Peter Riggs Kaiser, 67, of Delhi, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 5, 2014 at O'Connor Hospital, Delhi following a long illness. Born on July 9, 1946 in Port Chester, He was the son of the late Karl and Elizabeth (Riggs) Kaiser. Peter held a Masters Degree in Business from Boston University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1971 at the rank of Second Lieutenant. Mr. Kaiser was a Legal Assistant for various law offices of the years and last working for the Law Offices of Troutman and Sanders in New York City, until an injury forced him to retire seven years ago. At that time he relocated from downstate to make Delhi his home. He was a former member of Grace and St. Paul's Lutheran Church before relocating to Delhi and recently he was attending services at St. John's Episcopal Church in Delhi. Mr. Kaiser was married last year to his long time companion and best friend George E. Stanton. Besides his spouse, George, of Delhi, Peter is survived by a daughter: Kate Marinos and her husband Tom of Riverdale; two grandsons: Max and Theo; a sister: Elizabeth Schulte of North Carolina; and a brother, Richard Garretson Kaiser of Lee, NH. A memorial will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 134 1/2 Main Street, Delhi, NY. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi
