Phyllis Rebel

Mrs. Phyllis L. Rebel, 72, of Harpersfield, formerly of Long Island, passed away early Thursday morning, April 7, 2016 at her home. Born on January 12, 1944 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emily Rebel. She was a florist, Phyllis owned and operated Hedges Florist and Garden Center in Roslyn Heights, Long Island. She is survived by three children: James Watson of Harpersfield, Edward (Douglas Odom) Watson of Orange Park, FL and Kim Vescova of Schoharie; grandchildren: Harry, Edward and William Bond all of Schoharie; sisters: Virgina Kendzierski and Gloria Dineen both of Florida.\ Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at St. Mary's Church, 42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville, NY 10992, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville. Arrangements are with MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart, NY In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
