Raymond Kearns

ANDES Raymond, "Ronnie" Kearns passed away at his home on Big Pond, Andes, on July 4, 2013. The son of Ray and Marjorie (Martin) Kearns, he was born December 5, 1936 in Hobart. Ronnie attended South Kortright Central School and at the age of 17, commenced a 23 year US Army career. Retiring as Master Sergeant, he served in the elite Special Forces "Green Beret" Group, including a tour in Viet Nam. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Beken), children: Karen Underwood, Kristina Norris and Sean Kearns and was devoted to each of his eight grandchildren.
