Russell J. "Buddy" Cole Iii

Russell J. “Buddy” Cole, 57, passed away on Friday morning, July 15, 2022, at his Broome Developmental Services homes in Sidney, NY.

He was born on July 12, 1965, in Stamford, NY, the son of Russell J. Cole II and Laurane Wunsch Cole, where he resided on Betty Brook Farm in South Kortright, NY. As Buddy’s family we all gained empathy, unconditional love and compassion, he taught us love without words and without limits. Through Buddy’s tough times, challenges and pain he still shown brightly.

Besides his parents, Buddy is survived by his sisters: Lisa Fisher and Lori (Tim) Fisher; brother: Ronald Cole; aunts: Laura McAteer, Marge Ortega and Kay Russell; along with several nieces and nephews. Buddy was predeceased by his brother-in-law: Joseph Fisher; and uncles: Larry McAteer, Jorge Ortega and William Russell

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at his BDS home in Sidney for all their care and compassion. Also, a sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Bassett Health Care Network, Binghamton General Hospital and Helios Care for their professional care and compassion.

A celebration of Buddy's life will be held at 4PM on Friday, August 6, 2022 at Davenport Fire Dept along with his nephew Matthew.
