Ruth W. White

Ruth W. White, 93, of Blenheim, NY, passed away on January 22, 2025, at Ross Adult Home in Maryland, NY

Born on June 9, 1931, at the family home on Welch Road, Blenheim Hill, Ruth was the daughter of the late Ward and Irene (Hartwell) Welch.

She attended a one room school house in North Blenheim for six years and went on to Jefferson Central School, graduating in 1950.

Ruth married Layton White of Hobart on July 1, 1951, the couple lived on Foote Hollow for 6 years, then moved to the White Family Farm on Gun House Hill Road and remained in Hobart for a total of 40 years.  Layton passed away on June 3, 1988, and Ruth moved back to her birthplace on Blenheim Hill in July of 1991.

She is survived by her cousins and close friends.

Graveside services at Jefferson Evergreen Cemetery will be held at 12PM on Friday, May 9, 2025. Followed by a celebration of her life at Judd Hall, 163 Main St, Jefferson, NY
