Serena Bishop

Serena A. Bishop, 66, of Otego, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Born on September 30, 1958 in Delhi, Serena was the daughter of the late Willard Armstrong and Mable (Wood) Olsen.

She worked for several years at SUNY Delhi in the Janitorial Department.

Serena enjoyed singing and dancing, trips to the casino, watching hummingbirds, and enjoyed spending time with her camp family. Her greatest joy was her family, Serena was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh and her famous quotes “yeah-yeah-yeah” , “Oh-Mylanta” and “I love you more”.

She is survived by her husband: Mark C. Bishop of Otego; children: Michael (Judith) Bishop of Conn, Reagan (Jenny) Bishop of Conn, Kimberly (Gavin) West of Otego, Christopher (Robert) Luquer of Cairo, and Megan (Christopher) Luquer of Davenport; grandchildren: Stephanie, Mark, Isaac (Charlette), Emaleah, Lawson, Asa, Waylon and expected soon- Wyatt; great-grandchildren: Dakota and Wolfgang; siblings: Brenda (William) Wallace, Sherri (John) Alwine, Carol (Stan) Powers, Willard (Judy) Armstrong, Deanna (Chris) Maney and Jamie (Val) Armstrong; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins; and “sister” Wanda Agans.

A celebration of Serena’s life is being planned and will be announced.
