Shiela Stanton

DeLancey, NY Sheila G. Stanton, 75, of DeLancey, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Robinson Terrace, Stamford. She was born July 15, 1937, in Margaretville, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Wickham) Caswell. She married Robert Stanton in New Kingston on Aug. 3, 1956. Sheila worked for Delaware County Social Services in Delhi for two years and retired from N.Y.S.E.G. in customer service in Walton after 17 years of employment. She traced her family genealogy from the 1600s. She is survived by her husband, Robert Stanton, DeLancey; a son, Robert (Elizabeth) Stanton, Allegany; a daughter, Kathleen (Courtney) Cox of Oklahoma; two brothers, George Caswell, New Kingston, and John Caswell, Warsaw, Mo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden, with the Rev. Bert More, officiating.
