Shirley Barber Greene

Shirley Barber Greene of Denver New York passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on July 10, 1935.

Shirley enjoyed her grandchildren, flowers and sewing. She made multiple quilts for everyone in the family. She had a passion for growing orchids and many other flowers. She also most always had a vegetable garden.

She married Gerald "Skip" Greene on August 22, 1954. Gerald predeceased Shirley just six months ago.

Shirley is survived by her sister: Ruth Story of Margaretville New York; three children: Suzi Greene of Denver, New York, Steve Greene of Roxbury, New York and Scott Greene of Glenford, New York. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, along with three cousins.

Burial and Memorial Services at Denver Vega Cemetery for both Shirley and Gerald will be announced soon.
