Steven F. Wilson, 65, of East Meredith, NY, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.
Born on November 24, 1960, in Delhi, NY, the son of the late Lyle and Elsie (Burdick) Wilson.
Steve was married on September 18, 1982, to Ruthanna J. (Palmer) Wilson.
He worked for over 40 years for Dairy One, retiring in 2020 as Regional Manager, but Steve had a love for hard work and a passion for farming, so he continued working right up until his passing, working for the Holdridge Family Farm (Humdinger Farm) in Bloomville.
Steve enjoyed participating in the Delaware County Fair and yearly trips to Kissimmee, Florida, with his farming friends and families. He was also an active member in the Delhi Community Church. However, Steve’s greatest joy was his family. He was a proud father and grandfather.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother: Lynden Wilson.
Steve is survived by his wife of over 43 years: Ruthanna “River” Wilson of East Meredith; three sons: Steven (Brittany) Wilson of Bainbridge, William (Melinda) Wilson of Kortright and Joseph (Pamela) Wilson of Sidney; grandchildren: Ruth, Kylie, Raegan, Harper, Amelia, Hallie, Mitchell, Eliana and Samuel; siblings: Glenn (Donna) Wilson of Delhi and Liecha (Steve) Collins of Unadilla; along with his Uncle Niles (Georgiana) Wilson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours from 9AM-12PM on Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Delhi Community Church, 46378 State Highway 10, Delhi, NY, where a service will follow at 12PM with the Rev. Derek Johnson.
