Valerie Vanvalkenburgh

Valerie A. VanValkenburgh, 34, of Stamford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 15, 2019. Valerie was born on December 24, 1984 in Cobleskill, NY and was the only daughter of Vance and Georgianna (VanValkenburgh) Wetmore. On July 1, 2006 Valerie married Robin VanValkenburgh in the Hobart United Methodist Church. Valerie was both a member of the Hobart United Methodist Church and the Harpersfield United Methodist Church. She was employed by ONC BOCES in Stamford as a keyboard specialist. Her hobbies included shopping on AMAZON, but really enjoyed all kinds of shopping. She enjoyed hiking and swimming, but her biggest passion was caring for her family; especially her daughter Paige. Valerie is survived by her husband Robin VanValkenburgh; her daughter, Paige VanValkenburgh; parents, Vance and Georgianna (GiGi) Wetmore; brother, Ryan (Kristi) Wetmore; niece, Lauren; nephew, Mason; paternal grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Wetmore; maternal grandfather, George VanValkenburgh Sr. and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandmother (Nanny), Mamie VanValkenburgh. Family and friends are invited to visitation hours on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 11AM- 12 Noon at the Hobart United Methodist Church, 186 Maple Avenue, Hobart, NY 13788 with cousin and Pastor Lara Govendo officiating.
