Virginia Gardner

Virginia M. Gardner passed away at Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehab Center on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Born on October 5, 1929 in Walton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was married to John S. Gardner. Virginia was a homemaker and assisted her husband with the operation of farms they operated over the years. Virginia enjoyed crocheting and watching TV, she especially enjoyed watching the Joyce Meyer Show. Mrs. Gardner was devoted to her family, her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, John in Sept. 1988 and son, Danny S. Gardner in Sept. 1991. She is survived by two daughters: Lois (Gary) Hood of Delhi and Janet Gardner of Oneonta; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Gardner of Downsville; grandchildren: Ryan, Shelly, Dan, Jerry and Kim; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 2PM on Sunday, Feb 25th at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi where friends and family are invited to call from 1-2PM.
