Virginia Sanford

Virginia "Ginny" Sanford, 96, of Surfside Beach, SC and Delhi, NY died Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at Conway Medical Center in Conway, SC. Born in Halcott Center, New York, she was the wife of the late Gerald "Jake" Sanford for 69 years and daughter of the late Smith and Ethel Streeter of Halcott Center, NY. Mrs. Sanford was a housewife and a retired cafeteria worker for the Delaware Academy Elementary School and was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary in Delhi, NY. Surviving are her two daughters; Eileen and husband Tim Harris of Surfside Beach, SC; Linda VanDusen of Syracuse, NY and one son, Eric and his wife Penny Sanford of Aynor, SC; six grandchildren; Bronwyn and husband Patrick Grau of Bay Village, Ohio; Melissa and husband Josh Nypaver of Rock Hill, SC; Jeremy Harris of Greenville, SC; Christofer and wife Ashely Sanford of North Myrtle Beach, SC; Michelle and husband Michael Wunderlich of Syracuse, NY; and Tara and husband David Frey of Syracuse, NY; three great-grandchildren; Dawson Frey, Jenna Nypaver and Adalyn Grau; and one brother, Virgil Streeter of Halcott Center, NY. Graveside memorial services will be at Noon on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at Woodland Cemetery in Delhi. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bloomville Untied Methodist Church, Bloomville, NY.
