Wayne J. Burdick

Wayne Joseph Burdick, 62, of Bloomville, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his home.

Born on March 27, 1963 in Delhi, Wayne was the son of the late Oren and Helen Burdick.

He was a graduate of South Kortright Central School.

Wayne loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting deer, cutting firewood and could often be found helping his brother wrangling cows on the farm. He enjoyed reading and watching NASCAR, often cheering on Denny Hamlin. Wayne also liked to play cards with family and friends.

Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his sister: Laura Murphy; and nephew: Jeremy Burdick.

He is survived by his companion: Betsy Grant of Bloomville; siblings: Neil (Lisa) Burdick of Bloomville, Gail Hough of Binghamton, and Mary Burdick of Albany; aunt: Ellen Burdick of Bloomville; two nieces: Jennifer (Josh) Billings and Emily (Bryan) Lyons both of Maryland; and several grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held from 1PM-4PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Bloomville Fire Department, 243 Scotch Hill Road, Bloomville, NY.
